On 11/10/14, the Honduras government transferred all the children to other private orphanages and centers and shut down Nueva Esperanza.

Nueva Esperanza (New Hope) is an orphanage for the protection of younger at-risk children. These children have been abandoned, sexually and/or physically abused, living in extreme poverty, street wandering, neglected or malnourished. The number of children fluctuates considerably, because this is the first point of placement by judges, police, and social workers. Orphan Helpers has staff members teaching elementary school classes, assisting with child care, and managing our Spanish library. Orphan Helpers sends missionaries who teach, play and love these children.
