Renaciendo (Rebirth) is a detention center home to street boys, gang members, abandoned and abused boys ages 12-18. The number of boys at this center is around 120 and they are serving time for crimes such as stealing, rape, murder, and drugs and arms trafficking. Orphan Helpers has a strong staff presence here with three male teachers who deliver evangelistic and discipleship programs. The staff also cuts hair, offers counseling and advice, and teaches sports, English, and computer classes.
