TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

Giving hope to the hopeless is a daily passion of the teachers at Orphan Helpers. Our teachers are local to the countries where they work. They desire to reverse the cycle of abuse, abandonment, and incarceration that has afflicted so many children and youth in their society.

Our teachers get up every workday to serve in the government-run orphanages and detention centers. Many of these teachers commute 1-2 hours each way in order to help young people who are hurting.

As a Teacher Sponsor, you will be partnering with us to make sure youth in state custody have a caring Christian adult to teach, mentor, and guide them. With your support, the teachers of Orphan Helpers will walk alongside abandoned children and vulnerable youth to give them the educational training, emotional healing, and spiritual hope they so desperately need.

The teachers of Orphan Helpers are paid entirely by our generous donors. 100% of your monthly Teacher Sponsorship will be used solely to support our teachers in Honduras and El Salvador.

Please consider investing in the teachers of Orphan Helpers by giving today.

COMPANY MATCH

Make Your Donation Go Twice As Far

Corporate matching gift programs are charitable giving programs in which the corporation matches donations made by its employees. You can double the impact of your donation by connecting with your employer’s matching gift program. The standard match is dollar-for-dollar up to a set limit that normally ranges between $2,000-$10,000 per employee each year.

You can immediately determine your eligibility to get your donation matched through your company. Simply search our database of companies with matching gift programs and look at the detailed corporate giving information.

By taking just a minute to see if your company matches your gift, you could be giving hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars for abandoned, abused, and incarcerated youth!

PRAYER PARTNERSHIP

Of the children and youth we serve in Honduras and El Salvador,

100% of them have been orphaned, abused, or incarcerated.

The Bible is clear about serving such youth:

THE FATHERLESS | Defend the weak and the fatherless. (Psalm 82:3)

THE ORPHAN | Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and

faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and

to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)

THE PRISONER | I was in prison and you came to me. (Matthew 25:36)

THE HURTING | He’s the one who comforts us in all our trouble so that we

can comfort other people who are in every kind of trouble. (2 Corinthian 1:4)

Partner with us in praying for:

  • Abandoned, abused, and incarcerated youth – that they may draw closer to God, family, friends and community.

  • Orphan Helpers' teachers – that they may be strengthened and encouraged in their challenging work.

  • Churches in Honduras and El Salvador – that they may increasingly support the forgotten youth in the centers.

  • Local schools and businesses – that they may open their doors to provide educational and employment opportunities.

  • National government leaders – that they may have wisdom in caring for the youth in their custody.

  • Prospective donors – that they may love their hurting neighbors in Central America and give cheerfully and generously.

VISION TRIPS

We would be honored to have you join us on a vision trip to El Salvador or Honduras to witness how God is using Orphan Helpers to meet the needs of abandoned, abused, and incarcerated youth. These 4-5 day trips give you an opportunity to:

  • Visit juvenile detention centers and child protection centers

  • Meet the Orphan Helpers teachers and the youth we serve

  • Hear testimonies from youth about the transforming power of God in their lives

  • Organize and participate in worship services with the children

Vision trips are ideal for business owners, church leaders, or other individuals who want to see the work as they consider how to use their Labor, Influence, Finances, or Expertise (LIFE) to serve the children and youth.

Please contact Ron Goodman, Director of U.S. Partnerships (ron.goodman@orphanhelpers.org) for information on upcoming trips.
